The clogged gutters will then spill this gunk over the sides during a rain, possibly causing damage to patios, decks, and landscaping. Clogged and filled gutters then become heavy with the weight and begin to pull away from the fascia or soffits possibly causing damage during the process. Gutters filled with muck and water also begin to rust through causing you to replace your gutters sooner than necessary.

Gutter Cleaning Methods
At contrast cleaning services we employ three methods to clean your gutters. Which one we use depends upon your home and other services that we might be providing for you at the time.
Hand Scooping - Most of the time we prefer the hand scooping method of cleaning your gutters. This is a simple and straightforward method of gutter cleaning. We simply use ladders as we move around your home, hand scooping the debris from your gutters and placing it into buckets. It is the least messy process of all the methods.
Blowing - Sometimes if we're blowing off your roof we will simply use the blower to clean out your gutters. This method can be a little more messy than hand scooping, which is why we typically only use the blower to clean your gutters when we need to use the blower to clean the debris from your rooftop (that is, when the process will be messy already). We do clean up the mess.
Pressure Washing - We rarely clean your gutters by the pressure washing method. We typically only use this process when removing moss from your roof via the pressure washing method. In this case, since we will be on your roof with a pressure washer already, we simply use the pressure washer to clean out your gutters while up there. Pressure washing your gutters from the rooftop is the most effective method of cleaning your gutters however. It too is a messier process than the hand scooping method. Again, we do clean up the mess.
